Q) What is the Qabalinator?
A) The Qabalinator is a web-based application to do the Qabalah.
Q) What is the Qabalah?
A) The Qabalah is a method of assigning numeric values to words (using the Ancient Hebrew alphabet) and then
deducing which other words share the value. Once you determine which words have the same value, it can help give you a
greater understanding of the nature of things. The Qabalah is spelled with a "Q" to differentiate it from the Jewish
esoteric system called "Kabbalah". Although the systems have the same root, they are completely different in
application and presentation. Qabalah is the cornerstone of the Western Esoteric Tradition.
Most of all, the Qabalah is great fun.
Q) Does the Qabalinator store the lookups of words?
A) Yes. The best part about the Qabalinator is that will store any word that hasn't been entered before. With visitors from all over the world, the database should grow very extensive as time passes.
Q) How are the values for words determine?
A) The following formula is applied:
- Only the vowel with the highest numeric value is counted, the rest are discarded.
- If two letters repeat in succession, one is dropped
- Final values are calculated. K, M, N, P, and T all have special values and a special alphabetic form when they appear at the end of a word.
- Rules are applied consitently so a meaningful dataset can be derived.
