Outsourcing SEO Service

Lately I’ve been attempting to delegate more of my internet marketing and SEO responsibilities, and one obvious area is with “SEO Services”. Now, the idea is great in theory, but like anything else, is going to require plenty of due diligence when it comes to finding providers who can actually do the job.

Anyone can claim expertise, but you need to carefully examine the type of work you’ll get. For instance, content creation is difficult, if you’re expecting to have non-English speaking writers produce it for you. No matter what you’ll be forced to edit their work, so keep this in mind when it comes time to choose who can do the work for you. If you have to spend substantial time re-editing the work, you’ll want to pay less.

The “link builders” out there need to be examined closely in order to determine their success rates and their methods. A quick examination of their backlinks should quickly paint an accurate picture.

Also, I’ve been looking into “social networking” style promotional work, but not too much has been striking my fancy. The amount of money being charged versus the direct benefits are unclear, so that could be part of the issue.

All in all, I’ve been looking into more opportunies to outsource work, and I’m attempting to create a short-list of reliable providers who could be somewhat “scalable” in their efforts. If I can accomplish this, my life just a bit easier and lot more profitable.

Anyone have any success (or failure) stories concerning outsourcing of SEO services?
