Adsense, Always Makes Life Easier For The Advertisers

One thing about Google Adsense, they are always trying to make life easier for the advertisers. Hell, in the last six months, they’ve even started a trend towards getting advertisers to spend less money with them. Sure this will hurt their share price something fierce, but it will endear them to advertisers who sell products which don’t convert.
From a Publisher’s standpoint, Adsense appears to be losing its’ way
When you look at how Google Adsense is performing these days, you start to realize that Google may have already peaked. The company is still paying publishers with a blind payout, and they are still issuing proclamations to webmasters as if they were the King of Merry Olde England. I’ve been in business for years, and one thing I know is, people really hate being told who they can hang out with, in order to stay in with the cool crowd. As Adsense payouts apparently drift lower, it will be an extremely tough sales for Google to continue to strong arm the masses into compliance with their hypocritical policies.
Let’s face facts: Google Adsense has a lot of competition. A few years ago, they were basically the only show in town. Now you have a number of easy ways to make revenue. Of course Google doesn’t like this, but competition is a fact of everyone’s life.
I still think Google Adsense is a very impressive monetization scheme. I have it on most of my websites, and it always does well. But too many more changes to “de-emphasize” ads, or to intentionally lower revenues makes no sense. Advertisers are big boys, and can pay for some lost clicks. Not every person online is a candidate to buy. There is no need for Google to reward low performing offers by discounting the price of clicks to the advertiser.
