The Year End Push For Internet Marketers

I’m hoping this Christmas season is a big one, online. And I’m not alone in thinking it probably will be. More people than ever shop online, especially when they’re looking for bargains. Today is even called “Cyber Monday”, a day when shoppers return to their offices from their holidays, and rather than spending the whole day working, some start to shop for bargains online.
If you do run websites online for profits, it’s hard not to start considering the impact that online retailing has. There is probably some product you can sell, that is geared towards the traffic on your website. If the product really fits, you’re looking at a whole new revenue stream. And better still, Google Adsense performs better on websites that review products. So don’t be afraid to talk about products if you’re planning on making any money online.
This season shows the earmarks of being big because there are a lot of hungry retailers out there who need to “make their year” and can do so at the end. The last few weeks have already showed that people are buying.
The only trouble with “readying” yourself for the holidays now is that it’s too late. You had to be thinking about this a few months back to gain much traction. I know I was. I spend the summer making sure to drop in more product style pages than I had in the past and it seems to be paying off. We’ll see as the season unfolds.
What do you do for your website on the holidays?
