Web Content As An Investment

Well linked to and well written web content can go quite a ways towards making profit. But only a small percentage of content will ever be seen by most web surfers. You have to decide on how much effort and/or money you’ll put into creating or procuring the content. Over the years I’ve settled on investing my own time, rather than money into comment.

An investment of time saves money

Time is money, yadda, yadda. But if your can create a piece of content in a reasonable amount of time, without too much hassle, then your investment of time can be relatively small. Otherwise you’ll be forced to invest money, and then you’ll need to make sure you get a clear return on every investment. When it’s merely your time involved, you can have a bit more lenience. You still need to make sure you get a return, but you don’t have to account for every single article being a success or not. If even some of your posts rank, you should end up making a handy bit of coin.

Plus, if you’re fanatical about quality and are actually a good writer, you’ll be hard pressed to find quality content at a price where you can make a profit. For this reason alone you may want to just do the job yourself.

So when it all boils down to it, you have to decide between investing time, or money, or both into you content development. Depending on your needs, one of the paths should end up bringing it quite a bit of new traffic to you in the end.

What method do you prefer?
