Everybody loves talking about how off-page factors help you with search engine rankings, but people rarely mention the advantages to doing on-page SEO. There are a lot of advantages to using this method, IMHO.
1) You can completely control the on-page elements. With “off-page factors” you don’t have complete control, but you do with your own pages. You can craft them until they’re just right.
2) On-page optmization is free. It doesn’t cost you anything to optimize the pages on your website.
3) Your competition may not be as aware of on-page elements, instead choosing to focus on off-page. This could give you an advantage.
4) On-page and effective sales copy are similar. You can write for high rankings, but also entertain and inform visitors.
5) On-page optimization is easy. It primarily relates to your copy.
Writing good copy and deliverying effective on-page optimization are on in the same. The main key is to relate as many concepts as thoroughly as you can about a subject. But keep in mind that people don’t have long concentration spans, either. Therefore, a good mix of links and text is always appreciated.
