WordTracker is probably the best-known name in the “keyword pickin’” business. They have remained experts in the field for some time, pulling results from a number of meta-searches. Now, they’ve released a new Free Keyword Suggestion Tool, that is likely to catch your interest.
The tool works well and operates fast. The only limitation is you can’t use the tool to check adult keywords, but other than that, the limitations don’t look too heinous. There has been plenty of talk that the Overture tool (which is complete dog-doo) is headed out of existence. I think this new WordTracker version would beat them anyway.

Very informative post! However, I was wondering what you thought of the source of their data samples. According to their page, they use searches from Dogpile and Metacrawler which account for .63% of total searches. I wonder how much impact that might have on their predictions for those of us who get the bulk of our traffic from Google searches. Regardless, it’s a helpful post and tool…

Thanks for the comments.
Robert, I think you need to take their data “with a grain of salt”. I expanded on that a bit in today’s 4 tips about keyword prediction tools.
Have a good one.
