SEO Efforts Still Pay Highest For Me

I’ve tried it all since 2004 to make money online. I’ve sold my own products, blogged, did affiliate work, and built a hefty Adsense revenue stream. I’ve tried almost every form of internet marketing I could think of to generate traffic. And I end up coming back to organic search traffic as simply being number one time and time again.
People using search engines are actually LOOKING for something
I know it seems obvious, but what a tremendous opportunity it is for you to show a product to a person who is actively searching for it. People love FINDING websites when they search, and they naturally think of the website that ranks high as being of high quality. This helps close sales. The organic traffic tends to be very productive for almost all efforts.
So when I look at what needs to be done to gain traffic and increase revenue, I almost always come back to some sort of SEO efforts.
It’s fair to say my definition of SEO has expanded, but I still think the important tasks related to SEO have the biggest financial impact on what I’m doing. I wouldn’t turn down any of the social networking traffic I’m getting, but I still think ranking high atop the search engines for coveted phrases is tops when it comes to revenue acquisition.
What efforts are paying off for you?

I think SEO is a great ongoing traffic bringer to your site but it takes a lot of patience. When recommending a course of actions for my customers I always shoot fot PPC campaigns followed by some SEO effort as most clients like to see results ASAP

No doubt it takes patience. It’s fair to say the job never ends, because your competitors won’t ever quit.
