This is advice you won’t see too often about internet marketing, but I think it’s worth pointing out. Make sure that you use whatever tricks you can, but be prepared and ready for the day they stop working. Sometimes you can discover a trick that will work for you, but unless it’s hidden from others, they’ll start using it anyway.

So what can happen? First, other people will start doing it, and your advantage will fall off. Their activities will alert even more people to the existence of the trick, and before long, it will either have no advantage, or be shut off altogether.

The main thing you can do is milk it for all its’ worth, with the inevitable knowledge that the good times will come to an end. While you’re waiting, you’ll probably want to discover a few more methods that are working. In the long run, you need to use multiple techniques which will allow you to gain some traction.

Sure some of your techniques will stop working, but some will grind on, producing income for you the whole way through. The skill is in knowing which techniques will continue to work, and which ones won’t. And don’t place too much emphasis on any one technique, especially if it’s something that is controlled by a third party. If you do, and their goals are at odds with your goals, you’ll end up with it ending. No matter what, focus on core principlies of success, regardless of what short-term techniques you may be using.
