SEO - The Job’s Not Done Until You’re In Number One

Nobody likes to finish second. And on the internet, finishing second can cost you big. Imagine if you sell a product, but so does your competitor. Worse, she ranks in front of you! Uh oh, how many people will buy from her website without even checking yours? Unless you’re in first place, this could happen to you.
How do you get to number one?
The main key will be perseverance, especially if the competition is strong. You won’t get there overnight, and once you’ve been to number one, you probably won’t stay there forever. That’s the tough thing about life at the top. It doesn’t get any easier once you get there, because you have to continue to do the things that got you there from then on.
Life in 5th place is pretty cool
Sure, it might be. But deep down you’re denying the part of yourself that wants to stomp the competition and hog first place all to yourself. Nobody remembers the fifth place finisher in any race. Remember what Ricky Bobby said: If You ain’t first…You’re last.
So if you’ve been slacking lately and are in 2, 3rd, or even worse…then I hope I’ve inspired you enough to take the last steps necessary for success. What steps are those? That’s up for you to decide. But essentially do something to help rank your website that you haven’t tried before. That almost always works.

I’d say keeping your web site visitors as top priority, having a user-friendly web site and good fresh content at all times is the best place to start.
