Be Careful Of Arriving Too Late To The SEO Party

People need to understand that “SEO ideas” have a strange life of their own. By the time you hear of many of them, they’re already “toast” from a practical applicability standpoint. This is true of all segments of the internet marketing arena, and it’s not hard to understand why. If you find a method that “really does work” on the internet, you’re forced by circumstances to keep the information quiet. Why? I’ll explain.

Most traffic you get will come from the Top 3 spots in the search engine

Your document will need to rank number one to three against ALL the other documents on the internet. Everyone is potentially a competitor of yours. If you have a “trick” that helps you rank highly and you share it with the world, it won’t take you long to find yourself out of the top 3 spots and on a bus straight back to Palookaville.

Information about the search engines becomes outdated almost as soon as it appears

All people who are interested in the search engines read basically the same information sources. Once an “exploit” is discussed publicly, you can imagine it will be closed with utmost haste. Grass doesn’t grow under the feet of search engineers. It takes them one nano-second to run down the “opening” and close it. Public information shuts down search engine exploits quick.

Once everyone knows a certain piece of information, the competitive advantage is gone

A competitive advantage only exists when you know something that someone else doesn’t. When you TELL someone what that advantage is, it disappears. This is a sure-fire way to go to the poor house, especially if you’re telling complete strangers.

By the time the Search Engine Marketing community is buzzing about something, it already doesn’t work

When do programs like “auto-generating blog software” make their way onto the market? When they stop yielding their fruits for the original designer. When she sees her loophole has been exploited, and she can’t make easy cash through Adsense or affiliate programs anymore, she’ll decide on the next big thing: sell the program to suckers who want to make money the “Easy way”.

So the next time you hear some “buzz” starting about something that sounds like complete “BS”, then do the smart thing, and ignore it. You know the guy selling it already made the “big money” and is now selling his worthless blueprint to you.
