8 ways to make money online

Let’s cut to the chase. You want to make money online. Which methods can you use? There are as many ways to make money as there are people on Earth. The key is being creative and having a goal.
1) Sell a product directly to the customer
This can result in good money but is the most time-consuming way to earn. You’ll need to follow up and make sure the customers are happy.
2) Become an affiliate
You have a lot less control being an affiliate, but you also have less responsibility. Someone else handles all the order fulfillment requirements, and you just get paid. But since you’re just a middleman, you make a small amount compared to the seller.
3) Use Google Adsense or another contextual advertising program
It’s a no brainer because it’s so easy. You sign up for an account with Google, insert some Javascript code onto your website and you’re off and running. Google sells the ads and you get some of the profit.
4) Get paid to blog post
There are companies that are now paying by the blog post. Blog Republic is one, and there are others. You can even earn more talking about products.
5) Get paid to forum post
We’re talking pennies here. But it might add up if you’re already a “big talker” on line.
6) Get paid to surf
Again, it’s doubtful you can even make beer money doing this, but if you can find some sort of decent program (not easy), you might be able to get a small revenue stream going.
7) Sell banners or direct advertising
It’s old school, but it can work. The bigger problem is keeping the customers happy. If you have people falling off all the time, it could result in lost revenue and frustration.
Manage a newsletter and monetize it
It’s an idea that has been recommended for years, and that’s because it works. If you build a newsletter that’s popular, you’ll have no trouble selling sponsorships.

I would say Google Adsense and Affliate programs are the quickest and easiest to implement, also you do get paid a decent amount if you have a well-run, high-traffic blog.

I can’t agree more.
But, as your traffic rises, then CPM can become a huge deal. But we’re talking 1 million or so page views or more per month.

I’ve just started recently trying to make money online using some of these techniques. The whole industry seems completely overrun with scams. I’ve been blogging about my success and failures at my site, webdroid.net.
