Akismet plugin down - comment-bot threatens existence of internet

“Dave” the friendly spambot has apparently destroyed Akismet. They haven’t been able to stop a single message for a long time and I keep on having to deal with pungent messages like:

Interesting topic… I’m working in this industry myself and I don’t agree about this in 100%, but I added your page to my bookmarks and hope to see more interesting articles in the future

Dave, thanks for the comment. I agree with your assertion about not agreeing 100%. I’m glad you re-inforced this message through repetetiveness. Dave, you’re really cool. Perhaps we’ll become friends.

Umm, actually I never reply to Dave, but I use the One-Click Delete All method. Not today. Now I’m back to two stepping it and getting the notification emails. Hopefully Akismet will come back soon. If not, Dave may have just won
