Thanks a lot Yahoo

I’ve had so much traffic come to my website for the “Website Worth” tool, that Yahoo Developer Network has shut me down. This makes me pretty angry, because Yahoo doesn’t say they’ll shut off your whole class C ip address, because they feel like it. But that’s exactly what they did.
According to their Usage Policy you can run a web app for 5,000 queries per day per IP. I moved the Worth Tool around for the last three days, but finally the traffic from “I Am Bored” did me in.
I have no idea exactly when the restriction gets lifted, but I’ll have the tool up when it does.
All of sudden the mirrors started working. I was getting the forbidden message. Now all appears to be working again. So forget the damn sarcasm Yahoo, and thanks

Hey, I’m a user of I-Am-Bored, and I used this quite a bit.. we (i-a-b) have a tendency to shut down websites by pushing too much traffic through their servers.. hopefully you’ll be back up again, because this was a pretty cool thing!

I’m all set. My servers are doing fine (I run a whole network), but Yahoo didn’t exactly perform as expected. It’s tough to rely on a third party.
But thanks for the exposure. I definitely appreciate it and I’m glad you enjoy the tool.
