YPN nearer to becoming an Adsense Killer

All new features are making the YPN (still in Beta) look very impressive. Adsense used to be way out in front, but YPN is quickly narrowing the gap. Recently YPN introduced direct deposit features. That’s great news because the deposit from them is now much earlier than when I started in the Beta. It looks like YPN is listening to publishers and is starting to assemble a dizzying array of features to make life easier.

YPN is basing features on their API infrastructure, which may be the best in the business. They already have ways to monetize your web pages as well as your RSS feeds. Now when you log into YPN you’ll be presented with “Publisher Services - New”. Here you’ll find a number of basic “search engine marketing” techniques you can use, through Yahoo, in order to improve the traffic to your website.

YPN is also tracking some new metrics in your account, including Avg. RPC. What this means, simply, is what amount you earn “per click” every time someone clicks on your ad. A nice metric to track, and one easy for them to calculate. The YPN Beta is a champ. It’s a solid competitor to Adsense. Every sane marketer would ad least give YPN a chance as an alternative to Adsense. I’ve been very happy to have more than one ad system to fall back on, in case their was a drastic decline at Adsense.

The best part about YPN is: every time I make a post about them, someone from their corporate headquarters reads the post! Maybe this time they’ll actually leave a comment? We shall see, but at least we know they’re reading our posts.
