There’s major corporate interest in blog search, and it’s really not a surprise why. Bloggers tend to be an influential group, and business are attempting to influence bloggers. One way for them to do that is to learn more about bloggers, and how bloggers are using the internet.

Blog search is a specialized niche, but one well worth exploring if you’re a search engine marketer.
Here’s a few websites that are bringing referrals from the “Blogosphere”:
- Technorati
- Bloglines
- Google Blogsearch
- Blogger Search
- Netvibes
- Feedburner
All of these domains show up in some percentage in my blog log files. The traffic they bring tends to be snappy, and you’ll get visitors who click on many pages. In fact, pound for pound, the blog search traffic appears to be increasing in quanity and quality every day. I can imagine the popularity of blogging widening even more in the near future. Blogging is one area of search engine marketing that you cannot afford to ignore.
