Over-reliance on search engine traffic

It’s the easiest thing to do, even if you’re on the lookout against doing it. Once you get a little search engine traffic, you get very used to it. But this promises to be a big mistake, as almost any experience web marketer can tell you.
There is no reason to rely on one source of traffic or revenue, even if it’s a great one. The chance of the revenue stream evaporating is ever so likely, especially if you don’t have a backup plan. This might seem like obvious advice: but please keep it mind.
I know I have to remind myself of this all the time, so I thought I’d pass it along.
