PRWeb - is it a farce?

It might be when you check out releases like this one. This is clearly satire, yet the article was released in its’ entirety. The best part, other than the ending is:

Experiments for the week included an attempt to determine the efficacy of the use of search engine submission forms and a study of the attention spans of editors working for online press release services.

I think the ending really hammers the point home:

In other news, Gonga and Maya continue to enjoy their birthday gifts, and this has significantly decreased the amount of work getting accomplished in the office.

That is hard-hitting web journalism at its’ best. You can’t fool the editors at PRWeb, and this is why press releases are considered to be such sacred sources of “one-way high-quality links”.
