Botched backlink update

I see 0 backlinks when I look up Sootle. This happened last year with another network directory and fixed itself after the next backlink update.

It’s not surprising really, anymore, when you see mistakes in Google. The numbers of sites that are dropped, at least temporarily, must number in the millions. If you have been a webmaster for more than 2 years, you’ve undoubtedly been mis-handled at least a few times during Google updates.

I saw a webmaster lamenting the other day about how unstable Google really was. It was hard to argue. At whim, on a daily basis, algo changes upset the very nature of the search index. If you make your money with search engine traffic, you need to learn to be flexible.
