Google has offered a new innovative program known as Google Sitemaps. In essence, using an XML feed, webmasters can now show much better control of the pages they want indexed by Google. For Google, it represents a feature request that has been standing for many years, and may be a way to soothe some of the chafed feelings in the webmaster community lately concerning violent Google Updates.

So far the program examples are in Python, but the premise looks easy enough to understand. I’m sure we’ll see a flood of examples in all programming languages in the next few months.
